WEX Online for schools

The system also allows teaching and administrative staff to manage their students placements online, without the huge amount of paperwork traditionally associated with work experience.

Use of the WEX Online System also includes:

• Induction, training and ongoing support in the use of WEX Online Plus to school and college staff and students;
• Attendance at Parents’ and Students’ Information Evenings/Meetings to explain the WEX Online Plus process and to ensure each student receives a copy of the Work Experience Logbook;
  WEX Logbook;
• LSC/LA subsidy of £24, with an additional £3 top up from Partnership Network for the first year, leaving a fee of £20 per placement to be paid by the school;
  Robust systems and procedures for ensuring placements are health and safety vetted appropriate to their level of risk;
• The involvement of employers, teachers and students in the review and evaluation process, feeding from their recommendations to inform future development.
