Mock Interview Programme

Mock interviews are a realistic simulation of the most daunting stage in the recruitment process.

structures

For young people about to embark on the non-compulsory part of their education or career, the interview can be a worrying prospect. The students begin by applying for a mock interview by CV or application form. They then visit an employer for the interview. At the end of the session the employer gives the student feedback.

Whether school leavers intend to go onto further education, vocational training or straight into work, they are unlikely to have experienced a professional interview. The mock interview initiative was created so that young people could experience the situation of a “real live” interview in a supportive environment.

This programme relates directly to all elements of the QCA Work-related Learning framework which schools are required to meet. This programme gives a head start to pupils and helps them on their way to the world of work.
