Structures Challenge
Structures Challenge - Build a BridgeThis event is run in conjunction with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and involves local civil engineers, who share their expertise, knowledge and advice with Year Six pupils
The aims of the project are to:-
To raise awareness of the many skills and job opportunities within the construction industry
• To support STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) activities within the National Curriculum
• To demonstrate the importance of team building skills
• To help pupils develop an understanding of planning and time management
• To develop communication skills and help raise self-esteem
• To improve learning
