23 year 10 pupils from Cove School in Farnborough recently graduated from a two week Class Act Project organised by first partnership a not-for-profit Education Business Partnership.
The programme included team building activities with the Hampshire Youth Service and Hampshire Fire Brigade, vocational careers tasters with Connexions Careers Centre and motor trade centres, business enterprise events, visits to Sparsholt College and gaining a Save a Life qualification through the Red Cross.
Tracy Marlow Project Manager states “The two week programme has been extremely successful as it allows these young people to look at their future possibilities and take responsibility for their actions. It allows them to develop key life skills such as teamwork, communication and character building and focuses them on working hard now to achieve their aspirations”
Mrs L Flaherty Assistant Head of Cove School says “The pupils on this programme have responded very well and this was most evident on the final day of the programme where they managed to work together as a team to provide refreshments and buffet for guests who had been involved in the delivery of the programme” Pictured below, Class Act students taking part in a team building activity.
